The Brief
A family-owned jewellery house opening their second Kolhapur showroom wanted premium display lighting that made gold look richer and diamonds crisper without generating heat inside display cases. Ceiling height 3.8m, roughly 40 running feet of counter cases plus a central island for larger pieces and a wall of bridal sets.

Outcome
The showroom opened on schedule; owner reported a noticeable improvement in how customers responded to bridal sets under 4000K high-CRI heads compared to their older 3000K-only setup at the first store. Track head placement was re-aimed twice in the first month as display arrangements settled — the flexibility of track over fixed recessed spots paid for itself in the reconfiguration alone.

Key Learnings
- 3000K flatters gold; 4000K sharpens diamond fire. A 60/40 split of the two CCTs across a mixed-jewellery showroom works better than a single CCT throughout.
- High CRI (≥ 90) matters more than beam intensity for jewellery — without it, gemstone colour reads muddy.
- Track lighting saved this project from re-installation costs when the client re-merchandised in month one.
